Is Dynamo Up Close and Magical suitable for children?

Dynamo: Up Close and Magical does not use one age rule across its 2027 UK tour. Guidance is set per venue, from 6+ to 10+, with most venues requiring under-18s to be accompanied by an adult. Salford, Bristol and Leicester list 6+; Leeds and Glasgow list 10+. Birmingham and Bradford have not published a figure, so check those venues directly.

That per-venue spread is worth knowing before you book, because a rule that applies at one stop on the tour does not automatically apply at another. The short version for most families: the show suits primary-school-age children and up at most of the venues that have set an age, provided a parent or guardian is booked alongside them, with two cities setting the bar a little higher at 10+.

How long is the show?

Running time is confirmed at only two of the seven venues. Redgrave Theatre in Bristol and City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds both list a running time of around 1 hour 15 minutes with no interval. The other five venues have not published a running time for this tour, so treat that figure as a Bristol-and-Leeds guide rather than a tour-wide standard.

Are there early or family-friendlier show times?

Several venues run an earlier performance alongside the main evening show on selected dates, so the start time is not fixed across the whole run. Salford has 6pm performances on two of its six dates; Bristol runs a 6.15pm show on three of its four nights; Leeds has one 6.15pm performance; and Saint Luke's in Glasgow includes a 5.30-7.30pm matinee slot on two dates. None of these is billed as a separate "family performance"; it is simply an earlier time within the same run.

How does the seating work for families?

Seating layout varies from venue to venue, with no single house style across the tour. The Lowry in Salford uses a flexible, reconfigurable deck with no fixed stalls or circle; Leeds, Birmingham and Leicester use a more traditional stalls-and-circle or stalls-and-balcony split; Saint Luke's in Glasgow is a converted church with both seated and standing capacity. None of the seven venues holds a guaranteed "family seating" block, and seating is allocated through the ordinary booking process at each venue.

Room sizes range from around 260 seats at the smallest venue on the tour up to roughly 470 at the largest, so how close a family sits to the stage depends a good deal on the city.
