Rawayana play O2 Academy Brixton on Monday 21 September 2026, doors 19:00, curfew 23:00, touring their new album ¿Dónde Es El After? The Venezuelan band, who describe their own sound as "trippy pop", won a Grammy in 2025 for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album and have two Latin Grammys to their name across two separate ceremonies.

Formed in Caracas in 2007, Rawayana's members are among the many Venezuelans who left the country during its political and economic crisis, and that experience runs right through their music. Press coverage of their Coachella set described the band as making the Venezuelan diaspora proud. That story of migration and memory is worth knowing before the show, especially for a London audience who may not have heard it.

Their trophy cabinet reflects a busy few years. The 2025 Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album recognised their album ¿Quién Trae las Cornetas? Self-taught in composition from the age of twelve, Alcocer built his following through piano-cover videos on TikTok from 2021 before releasing his own original material. His best-known original, "Idea 10", has passed 300 million streams, a scale of reach built almost entirely on instrumental piano pieces that listeners keep for quiet, private moments. Alcocer has described his own music as offering listeners comfort, healing and a moment of escape, and that framing matches how the pieces circulate online: as something to sit with, not shout along to. That makes his show the calmest and most intimate of the three, closer to a recital than a pop gig.

The right pick depends on whether a group wants everyone seated together, a big standing atmosphere, or something quieter. Format matters as much as capacity here. A group planning an evening around conversation beforehand and a settled view of the stage is better served by Shepherd's Bush Empire or a fully seated night at the Apollo. A group after atmosphere, noise and a packed room is better served by Brixton, whichever of the two shows they pick there. Neither Rawayana's nor CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso's set includes a formal seated tier at Brixton beyond the circle, so a group wanting seats specifically should look at the Manchester or Shepherd's Bush Empire dates instead.
