About
Mayweather vs Garcia hospitality depends on one thing first: the fight being made. As of 23 October 2026, Floyd Mayweather vs Ryan Garcia has not been announced. There is no date, venue, broadcaster or contract, and Mayweather has not publicly confirmed the fight. Below is what has been said so far, and how to register your interest with Prestige Corporate Events in case the fight is made.
Where things stand on 23 October 2026
Talks between the two camps were first reported by FightHype in early October. On 21 October Ryan Garcia, the WBC welterweight champion, posted on X that he and Mayweather had agreed to fight: “147 for the WBC welterweight championship of the world.” He shared a FaceTime screenshot of the two of them and, as Complex reported, said both men had agreed to post the news.
Mayweather has not posted the same announcement. A source told Uncrowned's Darshan Desai, as reported by Complex on 22 October, that “no serious negotiations for Garcia vs Mayweather have taken place.” On The PBD Podcast, in comments reported by Boxing News on 20 October, Mayweather spoke about a rematch with Manny Pacquiao instead: “Pacquiao-Mayweather will be somewhere in 2027.”
The WBC has not sanctioned a title fight either. Its president, Mauricio Sulaiman, said the organisation would support Mayweather “as long as the medical area is completely clear and covered”, and on condition that he gets a licence from a boxing commission.
The terms Ryan Garcia has described
These are Garcia's terms as he posted them. None has been confirmed by Mayweather, a promoter or the WBC.
- Weight: 147lb, the welterweight limit.
- Title: Garcia's WBC welterweight championship.
- Rules: a professional fight, not an exhibition. Garcia has said he “wouldn't do an exhibition”.
- Stakes: Mayweather's unbeaten 50-0 professional record.
Garcia's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy, has said the fight would only draw real interest as a professional contest. Eddie Hearn of Matchroom told Boxing News on 23 October: “If he wants to come back and fight Ryan Garcia, I'm all for it ... because that's a real fight.” Hearn added: “By the way, I think Floyd beats him.”
Ryan Garcia: the WBC welterweight champion
Garcia is 28, from Victorville, California, and has a professional record of 26-2 with one no contest and 21 knockouts. He won the WBC welterweight title on 21 February 2026 with a unanimous decision over Mario Barrios at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, and defended it in the same arena on 12 September 2026, stopping Conor Benn in the second round.
He has also been linked with a unification fight against WBA champion Teofimo Lopez. Ring Magazine reported on 15 October 2026 that the two were in advanced talks for early 2027. Read more on our Ryan Garcia page and our Conor Benn page.
Floyd Mayweather: 50-0 and 49 years old
Mayweather was born on 24 February 1977 and turns 50 in February 2027. He retired from professional boxing at 50-0 with 27 knockouts, having won 15 major world titles across five weight classes. His last professional fight was a 10th-round stoppage of Conor McGregor at T-Mobile Arena on 26 August 2017.
Since then he has boxed only exhibitions, eight of them between December 2018 and August 2024, none of which counted on his record. In February 2026 he announced a return to professional boxing and a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, but that fight was postponed indefinitely in June 2026. Our Floyd Mayweather Jr. page and exhibition fights hub cover his recent bouts.
The two have a long history. Garcia publicly described Mayweather as a mentor in January 2024, after the pair were filmed on an early-morning run in Las Vegas. For the full story of how that friendship turned into a challenge, read our blog on Ryan Garcia vs Floyd Mayweather.
What needs to be confirmed
Before the fight could take place, several things would need to be announced. Mayweather would need to confirm it publicly. A promoter, a contract, a date and a venue would need to be agreed, and none has been reported. The WBC would need to sanction the title fight, which Sulaiman has tied to medical checks and a licence. Garcia's schedule also matters, given the reported talks with Teofimo Lopez for early 2027.
Mayweather vs Garcia tickets and hospitality depend on a confirmed date and venue. Once those are announced, the fight date, UK start times and the hospitality options at that venue go up here.
