Places in the Grand Slam field come from four published routes, and the last eight are not decided until Friday 6 November 2026, eight days before the first day of play in Wolverhampton. The field. For 2026 the Grand Slam grows to 48 players for the first time in its history, up from 32 in 2025. Each group holds three players, 16 groups in all, where 2025 used eight groups of four. The prize fund rises to £1,000,000 in tournament prize money set by the PDC, with £200,000 for the champion. In 2025 that PDC fund stood at £650,000, with £150,000 in tournament prize money for the champion.

How the 2026 Public Ballot Worked
The PDC ran the ballot in two stages. PDCTV Annual Members could enter from 8 June at 12:00 BST, and the General Ballot followed on 10 June, also at 12:00 BST. Both stages closed at 23:59 BST on 15 June 2026, and applicants were drawn at random. The PDC announced the results on Monday 22 June. Its stated reason for running a ballot was "following record demand".

Where Is the Grand Slam Played, and How Do You Get There?
Aldersley Leisure Village sits on Aldersley Road in Wolverhampton, WV6 9NW, on a council-owned site the operator now brands WV Active Aldersley. Both names point at the same site, which catches out anyone booking travel the first time. It is a short walk or a bus ride from Wolverhampton city centre.
