Sefton Park, Liverpool

Sefton Park is one of Liverpool's grandest open-air concert settings, a Grade I listed Victorian park that opens up into a natural arena for major live shows. The park is a piece of Liverpool history in its own right. It was opened on 20 May 1872 by Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn, to a competition-winning design by the French landscape architect Edouard Andre alongside the Liverpool architect Lewis Hornblower. Its Grade I listing places it among the most significant historic parks and gardens in England. Within the grounds stands the separately listed Sefton Park Palm House, a Grade II* Victorian glasshouse that provides a distinct indoor setting for smaller occasions, away from the main concert arena.

Sefton Park sits on Aigburth Drive, Liverpool L17 1AP, a short distance south of the city centre. The nearest railway station is St Michaels on the Merseyrail Northern Line, roughly a 15-minute walk away, while Mossley Hill on the City Line is about a 20-minute walk. Numerous Arriva bus routes serve the park, and shuttle buses to Liverpool city centre run after the event. There is no parking for ticketholders at the site and a traffic management plan applies on event days, so organisers strongly recommend arriving by public transport.
