About Fontaines D.C.

Where Fontaines D.C. are playing next

Fontaines D.C. play six UK outdoor and stadium nights in summer 2027, across five cities. The run takes in Blackweir Fields in Cardiff on 29 June 2027, St James' Park in Newcastle on Thursday 1 July, Heaton Park in Manchester on 3 July and 4 July, Glasgow Green in Glasgow on 6 July, and London Stadium on 9 July. Manchester carries two of the six nights. Little Simz and Viagra Boys are billed as support on the shows named in the September 2026 announcement.

Two of those venues are stadiums. Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow are parks, which changes what the day looks like on the ground: an open field, weather that is part of the plan, and a walk in and out rather than a concourse. The band's own site also lists separate 2027 dates in Italy and Germany, so the UK run is one block of a wider summer. The full night-by-night picture sits on the 2027 UK run hub.

2027, outdoor and stadium

Every 2027 date above is a single evening at a single site. Newcastle United describe the show as the band's first ever stadium performance in the North East, with St James' Park the run's only North East venue. A second Manchester night at Heaton Park on 4 July 2027 was added after the original announcement, and the band's own live page labels it as a new date added.

2026, arenas

The step before this was indoors. Fontaines D.C. announced a twenty-show UK and European arena tour on 28 August 2026, and its UK leg ran to six arena nights across eight days in November 2026, opening in Liverpool and closing in London. All six of those UK arena nights sold out, and the band's own live listing carried a sold-out notice for the 2026 UK tour. Six days after announcing that arena tour, the band announced the 2027 UK outdoor and stadium run. Anyone who missed the sold-out arena nights got no second arena chance in the UK: the next step was stadiums and parks, and a band that filled arenas indoors now plays a Manchester park across two nights.

What the Fontaines D.C. tour has looked like, most recent first

The Fontaines D.C. tour has moved up one venue class at a time, and the dates show it. In 2026 the band played six UK arena nights across eight days in November, and all six sold out. In 2027 the band play stadiums in Newcastle and London and parks in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow, six nights in eleven days at the end of June and the start of July.

That matters to anyone planning a group evening because the two formats behave differently. An arena has a roof, fixed seating and a short walk to a concourse bar. A stadium bowl in July gives the support acts daylight, and everyone a slow exit afterwards. A park has neither concourse nor roof.

The records, in order

Fontaines D.C. are from Dublin, and Newcastle United describe them as the Irish rock band. Four Fontaines D.C. studio albums are released, and a fifth, 'Dopamine Chamber', is due on 16 October 2026 on XL Recordings. In order the released four are Dogrel, A Hero's Death, Skinty Fia and Romance, and they peaked at 9, 2, 1 and 2 on the Official Albums Chart, with the live album at 42. Skinty Fia was the band's first UK number one album, in May 2022. Romance is the most recent completed album cycle. Their highest-charting UK single is 'Marianne', which reached number 19 on the Official Singles Chart, according to the Official Charts Company.

Those are chart positions rather than sales claims, and they are the reason the 2027 venues are the size they are. A catalogue with a number one and two runner-up albums behind it is what puts a band in a stadium.

Who else is on the 2027 bill

Little Simz and Viagra Boys are billed as support on the shows named in the September 2026 announcement. Little Simz won the Mercury Prize in 2022 for Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, and she is a British rapper, songwriter and actor. That announcement did not name a bill for the added 4 July 2027 Manchester night, so this page names support only for the shows it did name.

No stage times, set lengths or billing order are published for any of the six nights, so a group arriving together is planning for a long evening with three acts and no published running order. The support-act guide covers what that means for a group arriving together.

Which 2027 night to choose, and what each venue publishes

Newcastle, Thursday 1 July. Newcastle United present St James' Park as an established host of major music acts and international sport, and the club also points forward to the 2028 European Championship coming to the ground. The club's current matchday hospitality spaces include Park Grill, Club St James and Executive Boxes, which the club describes as having their own private balconies. The concourses carry multiple accessible toilets and two Changing Places facilities, opened with a radar key, with stewards on hand to help. Full detail sits on the St James' Park venue page.

London, 9 July. London Stadium was built to host London 2012, and hosted the London 2017 World Athletics Championships; the venue's own page also lists rugby, the first Major League Baseball games played in Europe, and rock concerts. It seats 62,500 when operating in football mode. Separately, the venue publishes an 80,000 capacity for concerts, including free-flow between the field of play and lower tier. London Stadium's Executive Boxes have their own private balconies, a 42 inch LCD TV with surround sound and a dedicated bar, with the Londoner Lounges next door as breakout space. The Londoner Blue and Claret Lounges, which the venue presents as one space next to the Executive Boxes, have pitch views through those boxes. There is no public car parking at London Stadium, and limited blue badge parking is available. Full detail sits on the London Stadium venue page.

Manchester, 3 and 4 July. Heaton Park is a public park in Manchester used as a temporary outdoor concert site. It is the only Fontaines D.C. tour stop in 2027 that runs across two nights, and the only one where a group can pick between two dates at the same site.

Hospitality & Private Box Information

What a hospitality evening at a Fontaines D.C. show involves

A hospitality evening at one of the 2027 Fontaines D.C. tour dates is shaped by the venue rather than by the band, and the two stadiums publish a good deal about their own spaces. At London Stadium the named premium spaces are the Executive Boxes, each with a private balcony, a 42 inch LCD TV with surround sound and a dedicated bar, with the Londoner Lounges next door as breakout space. The venue lists the boxes' layout capacities as 10 board room, 10 banquet, 12 drinks reception and 10 buffet, which is a useful guide to the group sizes these rooms are built around. The Londoner Blue and Claret Lounges are presented by the venue as one space beside those boxes, with pitch views through them. Where a venue bar serves alcohol, Challenge 25 applies, and anyone who looks under 25 may be asked for photo ID.

At St James' Park the club's current matchday hospitality spaces include Park Grill, Club St James and Executive Boxes, which the club describes as having their own private balconies. Those are the club's football matchday spaces, and the roster changes season by season, so treat them as what the ground currently runs rather than as a fixed list for July 2027.

Practical detail decides more evenings than room names do. London Stadium allows no bag larger than A4, does not permit large bags, has no left luggage facilities, and searches all bags. Its accessible toilets are unisex and on all levels close to the wheelchair bays, and all of them require a radar key for entry. There are 428 wheelchair viewing spaces and three adult Changing Places facilities, two on podium level and one in the stadium's hospitality area. Quiet spaces are available for events and concerts for customers who are overwhelmed by the stadium environment, and the venue notes the area may not have a view of the event. Five windows at the resident club's ticket office are at accessible height and use induction loops, and there is an induction loop at Stratford and Stratford International stations.

Heaton Park is different again. It is a public park used as a temporary outdoor concert site, so the evening is an open-air one across a long day, with two nights to choose from on 3 and 4 July 2027.

What does a Fontaines D.C. hospitality evening not cover?

Travel and accommodation sit outside the evening itself at every one of these venues, and at London Stadium that is a practical point rather than a formality, because there is no public car parking at the ground. Stage times are not published for any of the six nights, so there is nothing solid to pin an itinerary to. The venue-published spaces described above are the venue's own descriptions of its own rooms, not a statement about any particular night in July 2027.

Premium and VIP Tickets

Where premium guests sit at a 2027 Fontaines D.C. show

Premium space at these venues is a room with a view of a stage, and the two stadiums publish where those rooms are. At London Stadium the Executive Boxes sit with the Londoner Blue and Claret Lounges next door, which the venue presents as one space with pitch views through the boxes. Those are the venue's own descriptions of its own rooms, not a statement about any single evening in July 2027.

At St James' Park the club's current matchday hospitality spaces include Park Grill, Club St James and Executive Boxes, which the club describes as having their own private balconies.

The band's own record sits behind all of this. Fontaines D.C. have a UK number one album behind them in Skinty Fia and three further charting studio albums, and all six UK nights of the 2026 arena tour sold out before the 2027 outdoor and stadium shows were announced. A group choosing a night on the Fontaines D.C. tour is choosing between an enclosed stadium bowl in Newcastle or London and an open park in Manchester, and the 2027 UK run hub sets the six nights side by side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fontaines D.C. play six UK outdoor and stadium nights in summer 2027, across five cities. The first is Blackweir Fields in Cardiff on 29 June 2027 and the last is London Stadium on 9 July 2027, with Newcastle, Manchester and Glasgow in between. Manchester carries two of the six nights, on 3 July and 4 July 2027.

Blackweir Fields in Cardiff, St James' Park in Newcastle, Heaton Park in Manchester, Glasgow Green in Glasgow, and London Stadium in London. St James' Park and London Stadium are stadiums; Blackweir Fields, Heaton Park and Glasgow Green are outdoor park sites. Newcastle United say St James' Park is the run's exclusive North East venue.

Little Simz and Viagra Boys are billed as support on the shows named in the September 2026 announcement. Little Simz won the Mercury Prize in 2022 for Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. That announcement did not name a bill for the second Manchester night on 4 July 2027, which was added after it. No billing order or stage time is published for any night.

All six UK arena nights of that tour sold out, and the band's own live listing carried a sold-out notice for the 2026 UK tour. The UK leg ran to six arena nights across eight days in November 2026, opening in Liverpool and closing in London. The 2027 UK outdoor and stadium shows followed it, moving the band from arena rooms indoors to two stadiums and three outdoor park sites across six nights in the summer.

Four Fontaines D.C. studio albums are released, and a fifth, 'Dopamine Chamber', is due on 16 October 2026 on XL Recordings. The four released are Dogrel, A Hero's Death, Skinty Fia and Romance, peaking at 9, 2, 1 and 2 on the Official Albums Chart. Skinty Fia was the band's first UK number one album, in May 2022, and Romance is the most recent completed cycle.

It depends on the venue, because the room belongs to the ground rather than to the tour. London Stadium's named premium spaces are its Executive Boxes, each with a private balcony, a 42 inch LCD TV with surround sound and a dedicated bar, with the Londoner Lounges next door as breakout space and the Blue and Claret Lounges beside the boxes. At St James' Park the club's current matchday hospitality spaces include Park Grill, Club St James and Executive Boxes, which the club describes as having their own private balconies. Heaton Park is a public park used as a temporary outdoor concert site, so a Manchester night is an open-air one.

At London Stadium there is no public car parking, and limited blue badge parking is available; the venue's induction loops include Stratford and Stratford International stations. Travel detail for each ground sits on its own page: London Stadium and St James' Park. Heaton Park is reached on foot from Metrolink stops, and the Manchester date page carries the gates and tram stops.

Travel and accommodation sit outside the evening at every venue on the run, which matters most in London, where the ground has no public car parking. Stage times are not published for any of the six nights, so an arrival plan built around a headline start time has nothing behind it.
