Nickelback UK Tour
ExploreNickelback are touring the UK again in May and June 2027, with five arena dates from First Direct Bank Arena, Leeds on Saturday 22 May to Co-op Live, Manchester on Wednesday 2 June.
Last updated: 13 October 2026.
Not bad for a band someone once tried to have banned from the country. More on that in a moment. Dates first.
What are the 2027 UK dates?
The UK leg of the Everything Under The Sun world tour was announced on 9 October 2026. Don Broco are direct support throughout.

Is there a Nickelback tour in 2026?
The tour was announced in 2026, but every date on it falls in 2027. It runs to 70 shows: North America from Pittsburgh on 6 February to 7 May, 24 European dates from Leeds on 22 May to Copenhagen on 13 July, then Australia in October.
What does land in 2026 is the record. Everything Under The Sun, the band's 11th studio album, is out on 30 October 2026 on Virgin Music Group. The lead single is Rattle The Cage, featuring John 5.
Who are Nickelback touring with?
Don Broco, a four-piece from Bedford. Their album Amazing Things came out in 2021 and went to Number 1 in the UK album chart in February 2022, so they are worth arriving on time for. Don't book dinner so late that your guests miss them.
Did someone really try to ban Nickelback from the UK?
Yes. In October 2014 a Londoner launched an online bid to get the band banned from the UK, with a target of $1,000 for charity. When Louder reported it, the bid had raised $270.
Chad Kroeger's reaction, as reported by Louder at the time: "I love it." He went on to call the whole thing "hilarious".
It was not the first campaign of its kind, and the earlier ones went much the same way. In February 2010 a Facebook page called "Can this pickle get more fans than Nickelback?" passed the band's roughly 1.4 million fans. In November 2011 about 55,000 people backed a petition to stop them playing the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving halftime show. They played anyway. A Michigan news site reported "a smattering of boos", and then a crowd that came round to them.
And the ban? Nickelback played The Arena, London in 2018 and again in 2024, and they are booked back there on Tuesday 25 May 2027.
Why do Nickelback lean into the jokes?
Because it works. When the documentary Hate To Love: Nickelback, by the British director Leigh Brooks, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023, Chad Kroeger said: "we've really kind of spun this whole negative thing into a positive thing." Mike Kroeger has said he is not scared of the comments, because some of the rude ones are funny.
In December 2020 they went further and remade Photograph as a Google Photos advert, with Chad singing a parody about his own fashion choices. Few bands take the joke and put it in an advert themselves.
What does Britain actually think of Nickelback?
Ask the Official Charts, not the comment section. Rockstar spent 58 weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart and peaked at Number 2. It first charted on 27 October 2007 and was still at Number 7 at the end of March 2008. Silver Side Up was a UK Number 1 album, with two weeks at the top and 84 weeks on the chart, and the band have seven UK top 10 albums in all, Feed the Machine (Number 3) and Get Rollin' (Number 8) among them.
The one thing Britain has never given them is a Number 1 single. How You Remind Me reached Number 4 in 2002. Rockstar spent 58 weeks on the chart without going higher than Number 2.
In the United States, Billboard's decade-end recap in December 2009 named them the top duo or group of the 2000s.
Where are Nickelback from?
Hanna, in Alberta, Canada. The band moved to Vancouver in 1996. The line-up is Chad Kroeger on lead vocals and guitar, Ryan Peake on guitar, backing vocals and keys, Mike Kroeger on bass, and Daniel Adair on drums, who replaced Ryan Vikedal in 2005. In March 2023 all four were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Juno Awards in Edmonton.
Where does the name Nickelback come from?
Coffee change. Mike Kroeger worked in a coffee shop and handed customers their change with the words "Here's your nickel back". So the name has nothing to do with the American football position, whatever the jokes say.
Which date would we pick for a group?
London, Tuesday 25 May. Doors are at 6.30pm on a weeknight, so a client list from London and the South East can come straight from the office, eat first and still catch Don Broco. The London night has its own page: Nickelback at The Arena, London 2027.
If partners are coming, we would switch to Leeds on Saturday 22 May. It opens the UK run, and nobody has a meeting the next morning. We would not pick Glasgow or Manchester for a weekend-style night: both fall midweek, on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 June.
Every UK date, with a page for each night, is on our Nickelback UK tour hospitality page, and the band's full story is on the Nickelback artist page.
