About Villa Park
Villa Park Events 2026/27
Villa Park is the largest football stadium in the English Midlands and has been the home of Aston Villa Football Club since 1897. Located on Trinity Road in Birmingham, the ground has a listed capacity of 43,205. The North Stand is closed for the whole of the 2026/27 season while it is rebuilt, so every home match this season runs at a reduced capacity, and Aston Villa have not published the reduced figure. The rebuilt stand takes Villa Park from 43,205 to over 50,000, with completion planned by August 2027 for the start of the 2027/28 season. The ground keeps its traditional four-stand layout and remains a leading destination for elite sport in the Midlands.
Villa Park has hosted 55 FA Cup semi-finals, more than any other stadium, and seventeen senior England internationals, the first in 1899 and the most recent in 2025. Its record crowd of 76,588 came against Derby County in the FA Cup on 2 March 1946, and the all-seater record of 43,157 was set against Manchester United on 21 December 2025.
Events at Villa Park
The 2026/27 season at Villa Park brings Aston Villa home matches in the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League league phase and the FA Cup, a year on from Unai Emery's side beating SC Freiburg 3-0 to win the 2025/26 UEFA Europa League, the club's first major trophy in 30 years. The atmosphere within the ground is at its best on European nights and during domestic cup ties. Villa Park is not football only. It staged two pool matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, a Premiership Rugby match between Gloucester and Leicester Tigers on 28 March 2026, and Black Sabbath's final concert with Ozzy Osbourne on 5 July 2025.
Notable moments are etched into the fabric of the Trinity Road and Doug Ellis stands, where generations of supporters have witnessed historic victories. The venue remains a focal point for major footballing events in Birmingham, and it is the Aston Villa home ground for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase.
Champions League 2026/27 at Villa Park

UEFA sets the individual dates and kick-off times, and we publish each one here as soon as it is confirmed. Corporate Hospitality at Villa Park
Villa Park's hospitality space is built into the fabric of the ground. The Holte Suite sits inside the Holte End, and executive boxes run between the tiers in both the Trinity Road Stand and the Doug Ellis Stand. The Trinity Road Stand also carries the dressing rooms, the players' tunnel and the directors' area, and its 1924 predecessor housed the Oak Room, the first restaurant at a British football ground.
Aston Villa confirm the hospitality line-up for each 2026/27 fixture. Register your interest and we will confirm what is released for each European night as soon as Aston Villa publish it.
Beyond 2026/27, Villa Park is a confirmed host venue for UEFA Euro 2028, which is staged across the UK and Ireland. It is designated a Northern Ireland group venue and is scheduled to stage Northern Ireland's third group match alongside other group games. The North Stand rebuild, which takes the ground beyond 50,000, is what secures that place.
With its combination of historic charm and modern premium facilities, the venue is a considered choice for building professional relationships in Birmingham.
