What does the ABBA Voyage seating plan look like?

ABBA Voyage is performed at ABBA Arena, a 3,000-capacity arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, east London. Its architects describe a hexagonal hall about 70 metres across with no columns inside. Raked tiers of mass-timber seating surround the central Dance Floor, the eight Dance Booths sit beside the floor, and the show's effects come from all around the audience rather than from one end.

On stage are digital avatars of the four members, with a live ten-piece band, in a concert that runs for about 100 minutes with no interval. The seating plan gives you a choice of Seated, the Dance Floor or a Dance Booth. Before you pick, check the operator's rules: Dance Floor places are unallocated, Dance Floor and Seated guests cannot swap areas, and the Dance Floor is recommended for ages 12 and over. For the story of the band behind the show, see our guide to ABBA.

ABBA Arena is at Pudding Mill Lane, London E15 2RU, next to Pudding Mill Lane DLR station, which is one stop from Stratford on the DLR. TfL lists the station as step-free, with lift access from street to platform. Routes, parking and places to stay are covered in our guide to getting to ABBA Arena.

Is ABBA Voyage worth it?

Its record is the best answer. Booking currently runs to 28 June 2027, after an extension announced on 24 September 2026, and the run has been extended many times. More than 4 million people have seen ABBA Voyage since May 2022, it won Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project at the 21st VES Awards in February 2023, and it officially opened on Friday 27 May 2022.

Dance Floor, Seated or a Dance Booth: which should you choose?

ABBA Voyage offers three ways to watch: a reserved Seated place on the raked seating, general-admission standing on the Dance Floor close to the stage and the live band, or a place in one of eight Dance Booths, each for 10 to 12 guests. The Oceanbird Lounge is a pre-concert upgrade, not somewhere to watch the show. The table sets out the rules that separate them.

FormatWhere you watch fromRules that decide itWhich group it suits
SeatedA reserved seat on the raked timber seating around the Dance FloorGuests may stand and dance at their seats; Seated and Dance Floor guests cannot swap areasGuests who want a reserved place each, with the option to get up and dance
Dance FloorGeneral-admission standing in the central area, close to the stage and the live bandNo allocated spots; no swapping with Seated guests; recommended for ages 12 and over; first call on cloakroom spaceGuests who want to be on their feet throughout, which is who the production recommends it for
Dance BoothOne of eight Dance Booths alongside the Dance Floor, each for 10 to 12 guestsA seating area, private dance space and a dedicated bar, staffed throughout the concert; the operator calls each booth semi-private; sold as a whole booth or as individual ticketsA group of 10 to 12 who want their own space, or larger groups across several booths
Oceanbird LoungeNot a place to watch the show: a lounge on the main concourseA pre-concert upgrade with fast-track entry into the arena, unlimited drinks and food that varies by performance; opens about 1 hour 45 minutes before the concert and closes during the show; needs a ticket for the same performanceGuests with a ticket for the same performance who want a pre-show lounge

Alcohol is sold only to over-18s, and Challenge 25 applies, so anyone who looks under 25 may be asked for photo ID.

Our guide to ABBA Voyage hospitality formats covers the Dance Booth hospitality route, which adds a pre-concert reception in a dance booth bar, along with the Tunnel Bar options and the Oceanbird Lounge for larger groups.

Which part of the arena suits your group?

At ABBA Arena, group size sets the booking route: one order stops at 14 Seated or Dance Floor places, parties of 15 or more are handled as group bookings, and booth groups can span several booths up to 44 guests. Within that, Seated places are reserved and a Dance Booth gives 10 to 12 guests their own space, while Dance Floor places are unallocated.

  • For 10 to 12 guests: one Dance Booth, bought as a whole booth, holds the group with its own seating area, dance space and bar, where alcohol is served only to over-18s under Challenge 25. Individual booth tickets are also sold, so a group that wants the booth to itself needs the whole-booth option.
  • For 15 or more: the operator handles the party as a group booking rather than as one order; a booth group of up to 44 can span several booths.
  • For guests who use British Sign Language: interpreted performances run on selected dates, with tickets held in Booth A, the Dance Booth the operator sets aside for its view of the interpreter.
  • For wheelchair users and guests who need access seating: wheelchair spaces, ambulant seats and seats suitable for transferring into are marked on the operator's seating plan and booked in advance, a companion ticket is complimentary with access documentation, and access is step-free throughout the arena.
  • For guests with hearing loss: a closed-loop hearing system covers most areas of the auditorium, with neck loops for the other areas.

How long is ABBA Voyage?

ABBA Voyage runs for about 100 minutes with no interval, a little longer than the 90 minutes some listings give. ABBA Arena lets guests in about 1 hour 45 minutes before the concert, and the Oceanbird Lounge opens at the same moment. Latecomers are held until a suitable point in the show, and there is no re-admittance after presenting your ticket, so aim to arrive well ahead.

What time does ABBA Voyage start?

ABBA Voyage start times vary by performance, so follow the time on your ticket. There are seven concerts a week, including weekend matinees. A start time can be moved, though the operator gives at least 48 hours' notice, and performances sometimes begin late, so leave a buffer before any onward travel.

For the journey home, TfL's standard timetable keeps DLR trains leaving Pudding Mill Lane until after midnight from Monday to Saturday, and until about 11.52pm on Sundays. Engineering works change that pattern, so check TfL on the day. When the DLR is down, Stratford High Street is the place to catch the 25, 276, 425 or D8 bus.

What can you wear and bring to ABBA Voyage?

At ABBA Voyage the operator asks guests not to wear Afro wigs or anything that lights up. Beyond that, the rules that matter are about what you carry: large bags face extra searches and are discouraged, the cloakroom takes small bags but has limited space with priority for Dance Floor ticket holders, and golf umbrellas must be cloaked. Seated and booth guests should travel light.

  • ABBA Arena is cashless.
  • Outside food and drink are not allowed, except for medical or religious reasons.
  • Alcohol is sold only to over-18s, cannot be taken off the site, and Challenge 25 applies to its sale.
  • Photos are fine outside and on the concourse, but photography, audio and video of the concert itself are not allowed.
  • The concert uses extensive flashing lights, video, lasers and harmless smoke and haze throughout.

Is ABBA Voyage suitable for children?

ABBA Voyage is recommended for children over 6, and children under 3 are not admitted. Anyone under 16 must be with an adult aged 18 or over. The Dance Floor is recommended for ages 12 and over, which is a recommendation rather than a ban, and anyone at ABBA Arena who appears under 18 must show photo ID if asked.

The Oceanbird Lounge welcomes under-18s who hold a ticket for the same performance, though alcohol there is served only to over-18s under Challenge 25. Families with younger children should weigh the flashing lights, lasers and haze that run through the whole concert, and the Seated area gives a child a reserved place rather than a spot in a standing crowd.
