Manual wheelchairs can be hired on the day from Ticket Office East subject to availability, or reserved in advance with Ascot’s accessibility team. King George Weekend falls in late July, in the middle of the Flat season, so gates open at 11:00 rather than the 10:30 kept for Royal Ascot and QIPCO British Champions Day. There is no need to arrive at dawn. Our hospitality at the meeting is on Friday 23 July 2027, and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes itself is run on the Saturday.
Two things make the journey easier than a Royal Ascot trip. Car parking is free, as it is on every Ascot raceday outside the Royal Meeting, so there is nothing to arrange before you set off. And the Friday draws a smaller crowd than King George Day on the Saturday, which shows in the car park and on the platform at Ascot station.
