The weekend’s feature race, the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, is run on the Saturday, when Ascot has confirmed a British record £2.5 million prize fund.
Our hospitality day is the Friday, which opens the meeting. It is the calmer of the weekend’s two days, with the same facility, the same catering and the same enclosure as the Saturday. If it is the Group 1 itself you want to be there for, that is the Saturday, so say so when you enquire and we will look at both.
The Furlong Restaurant sits trackside with its own private balcony overlooking the course. The package includes official Ascot Racecourse admission and Queen Anne Enclosure admission, a champagne reception on arrival, a three-course lunch, afternoon tea with a cheeseboard, and a bar serving beers, wines and spirits until 17:45. Drinks are served to over-18s, and staff may ask for ID at the bar.
The day runs at an unhurried pace. Gates open at 11:00 and the champagne reception follows at 11:15. Lunch is served from 12:00, racing runs through the afternoon, and afternoon tea with a cheeseboard arrives at 15:30. The bar closes at 17:45 and the venue closes at 18:15.
Ascot applies a dress code to hospitality that is stricter than general admission: gentlemen are asked to wear a jacket, a collared shirt, and a tie or cravat, and trainers are not permitted. Hats and headpieces are encouraged but never compulsory. Morning dress is not required, and neither are the stricter rules that apply at the Royal Meeting in June.
It suits entertaining a client, saying thank you, or marking an occasion privately. Car parking is free, and Ascot station is a seven-minute walk from the racecourse.

Admission is to the Queen Anne Enclosure, which is Ascot’s entry-level admission enclosure on its Ascot Racedays, as distinct from the Royal Meeting in June. It gives you trackside viewing lawns, a Parade Ring viewing area, bars and places to eat. It does not include Level 4 of the Grandstand or the elevated viewing balconies.

South Western Railway runs direct from London Waterloo to Ascot in around 52 minutes, and Ascot station is a seven-minute walk from the racecourse. Oyster and contactless are not valid at Ascot station, so buy a ticket before you travel.

Yes. Car parking is free on Ascot Racedays, including King George Weekend, in Car Parks 1 and 6. Parking is chargeable only at the Royal Meeting in June.
They are different meetings. Royal Ascot is the five-day Royal Meeting in June, with its own enclosures and a much stricter dress code. King George Weekend is a two-day fixture in late July, built around the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes on the Saturday. The enclosure structure is simpler, the dress code is lighter and car parking is free.
