Is the Furlong Restaurant the same as the Furlong Club?

No, and it is worth separating the two before you go any further. Ascot uses the Furlong name for more than one thing: the Furlong Club is a distinct venue at Ascot Racecourse with its own hospitality package on a different fixture, while the Furlong Restaurant is the facility named in our King George Weekend package. They are not interchangeable, and a search for one regularly returns the other.

The bar serves over-18s only, and ID may be requested. Travel is not part of the package, so guests make their own way to Ascot Racecourse and back.

How does the day run?

Gates open at 11:00, which is Ascot's published opening time for Flat season racedays. Everything after that is our own timetable for the day, and it is the detail most hospitality pages leave out.

Racing runs through the afternoon, between lunch and afternoon tea, and guests come and go from the balcony as the card goes on. Ascot publishes the racecard and its times closer to the meeting.

Which enclosure does the package include?

The package includes Queen Anne Enclosure admission. In Ascot's own description, the Queen Anne Enclosure gives access to the trackside viewing lawns, a Parade Ring viewing area, and a range of bars and on-the-go eateries. It is Ascot's entry-level admission enclosure on ordinary racedays, which is the opposite of where it sits at Royal Ascot.

So it is worth knowing what a Queen Anne badge does not cover. Level 4 of the Grandstand, and the elevated trackside and Parade Ring viewing balconies, are King Edward VII Enclosure benefits at Ascot. That catches people out on the day, and the part of a Furlong Restaurant day that does the work is the facility itself rather than the admission badge.

Which day is the hospitality on?

Friday 23 July 2027. King George Weekend runs over two days at Ascot Racecourse, and Prestige Corporate Events hosts its Furlong Restaurant guests on the Friday. The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes runs on the Saturday, the day Ascot calls King George Day. What is the dress code in the Furlong Restaurant?

Ascot's Flat season dress code groups hospitality with the King Edward VII Enclosure and private boxes, so gentlemen need a jacket, a collared shirt and a tie or cravat, and trainers are not allowed.
