Capital's Christmas Concert at The Arena, London
The Jingle Bell Ball has been Capital's December fixture at The Arena, London since 2008. It runs over a Saturday and a Sunday, with a separate line-up each night, and in 2025 it fell on 6 and 7 December.
Headliners Through the Years
Recent headliners include Kylie Minogue, who closed the 2025 weekend, Katy Perry and Coldplay in 2024, and Alicia Keys, who played both nights in 2023. Taylor Swift played twice in three years, in 2017 and 2019.
A Different Line-Up Each Night
Each night has its own bill rather than repeating the same show. In 2025 the Saturday featured Ed Sheeran, RAYE, Anne-Marie and Leigh-Anne, and the Sunday featured Kylie Minogue, Louis Tomlinson, Alex Warren and Jessie J.
Surprise Acts and TV Highlights
Since 2024 one performer has been kept back as a surprise, billed as Barclaycard Out of the Blue: Craig David in 2024 and Five in 2025. Highlights of the 2024 Ball were shown on ITV1 and ITVX on 15 December 2024.
About Jingle Bell Ball Hospitality
Capital's Jingle Bell Ball is Capital's annual Christmas concert, held over two nights each December at The Arena, London. Rather than one headliner, each night is a run of chart acts playing short sets, with a different line-up each evening, hosted by Capital's presenters.
Who has played the Jingle Bell Ball?
The bill has drawn some of the biggest names in pop. Taylor Swift played in 2017 and 2019, Harry Styles and Stormzy in 2019, Justin Bieber in 2021, Coldplay in 2022 and 2024, and Katy Perry in 2024. Some acts come back again and again: since 2017 Jax Jones has played six editions, more than anyone else, with Anne-Marie, Joel Corry and Sigala on five each.
How the line-up is revealed
Capital announces the line-up on Capital Breakfast, one night at a time on consecutive mornings. In recent years that has happened in early to mid November: the first night was revealed on 7 November in 2022, 15 November in 2023, 6 November in 2024 and 5 November in 2025.
Bills have got shorter over time, from 10 to 13 acts a night between 2017 and 2022 to 8 to 10 a night across 2023, 2024 and 2025. In 2020 there was no live show, and a highlights programme was broadcast instead.
