About
When and Where Is the Grand Slam of Darts 2026?
The Grand Slam of Darts 2026 runs from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 November at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, known today as WV Active Aldersley. Darts' governing body, the PDC, launched the tournament in 2007 and this is the 20th staging. It has been held in Wolverhampton since 2007, at the Civic Hall first and at Aldersley since 2018.
What Has Changed for the 2026 Tournament?
The 2026 Grand Slam of Darts expands from 32 to 48 players, the largest field in the tournament's history. The group stage is restructured into 16 groups of three, up from eight groups of four. No edition since the 2007 launch has gone beyond 32 players, and 2025 was the last of the 32-player years.
How Much Is the 2026 Grand Slam of Darts Prize Fund?
The 2026 Grand Slam of Darts carries a total prize fund of up to £1,000,000, and the winner takes home £200,000 along with the Eric Bristow Trophy, named after the five-time world champion. Both sums come from the PDC's own tournament prize money and neither is a Prestige hospitality price.
Who Is the Defending Champion?
Luke Littler is the defending Grand Slam of Darts champion, with back-to-back titles in 2024 and 2025. He beat Luke Humphries 16-11 in the 2025 final and Martin Lukeman 16-3 the year before. Littler is the fourth player to defend the Grand Slam title, after Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price.
The Luke Littler player profile goes through his Grand Slam record in full.
What Happens Across the Nine Days?
The Grand Slam of Darts runs afternoon and evening sessions across its nine days, building from the group stage through to the knockout rounds and finals weekend. The exact 2026 session-by-session schedule has not yet been published; the PDC releases session breakdowns alongside ticketing. The Prestige blog goes further into how the sessions and finals night work.
