Taylor Swift is an American pop singer and songwriter. Her latest studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, came out in October 2025. It is her 12th studio album. The album went to Number 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart with 423,000 first-week chart units, her 14th UK Number 1 album. "Opalite" reached UK Number 1 in February 2026, her sixth UK Number 1 single. That made The Life of a Showgirl the first Taylor Swift album to produce two UK Number 1 singles, after "The Fate of Ophelia" spent seven non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 in 2025. She was born on 13 December 1989. Her debut album, Taylor Swift, was released in 2006.

On 30 May 2025 she announced she had bought back the master recordings of her first six studio albums, writing: "All of the music I've ever made... now belongs... to me." On 22 September 2026, after a countdown on her official website, she announced a new single, "Patient Zero", out on Friday 25 September 2026.
