Lytham Green

Lytham Green, beside Lytham Windmill on the seafront at Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, is the home of Lytham Festival. From Lytham station it is about a five-minute walk to the festival site, and the festival runs its own park and ride from South Promenade Green, about 10 minutes away by bus.

Lytham Festival 2027 runs on the Green over five nights, from Wednesday 30 June to Sunday 4 July 2027. As at 10 October 2026, two headline nights had been announced:

• Fatboy Slim at Lytham Festival 2027: Friday 2 July 2027, gates 5pm, with special guest Becky Hill, Lytham Green
• Robbie Williams at Lytham Festival 2027: Saturday 3 July 2027, gates 5pm, Lytham Green, sold out according to the festival

The Green has hosted Lytham Festival since the first one in 2010, a one-day concert then called the Lytham Proms; the only years without a festival were 2020 and 2021, when it was cancelled.

Where is Lytham Green?

Lytham Festival gives its address as Lytham Green, Lytham St Annes, FY8 5LB. The Green runs along the seafront in Lytham, with Lytham Windmill beside it, and looks out across the Ribble estuary.

For the festival, the Green becomes a greenfield arena: relatively flat, but uneven in places, with grass and temporary trackway underfoot.

How do you get to Lytham Festival by train?

Lytham station, in the centre of town, is about a five-minute walk from the Lytham Festival site. It is on the South Fylde Line between Preston and Blackpool South, with trains run by Northern. From Manchester or Liverpool, change at Preston for the Preston to Blackpool South line. Lytham station has step-free access to its platform.

For the 2026 festival, Northern added late trains from Lytham on the closing night only, at about 10.58pm towards Blackpool South and 11.36pm towards Preston. As at 10 October 2026 no late-train plan for Lytham Festival 2027 had been announced, and the festival says train information will be updated in due course.

Can you drive and park at Lytham Festival?

Yes, Lytham Festival has its own car park, opening at 3pm, and runs a park and ride from South Promenade Green, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1NP. Drivers reach Lytham St Annes from the M6 at junction 32, then along the M55. The park and ride site opens at 2pm and the first bus leaves at 3pm; the ride takes about 10 minutes, and return buses run from 9.30pm to midnight. Park and ride is booked in advance.

The festival car park is on Lytham Green, next to the festival arena. Spaces are allocated in arrival order and the festival advises booking parking in advance. Local street parking is for residents with permits, and the festival warns that cars parked on residential streets will be ticketed or towed away. At the end of each show, cars are held on the Green until it is safe to leave, and the festival says park and ride is often the quicker way out. Accessible parking is requested in advance through the festival's accessibility application, spaces are limited, and the festival advises allowing at least an hour to leave the car park at the end of the night.

For Lytham Festival 2027 the festival runs two bus services, both bought in advance: the Blackpool Festival Flyer, run with Blackpool Transport, and the Preston Festival Flyer, run with Preston Bus for Preston, Kirkham, Freckleton, Wrea Green and Warton. Blackpool Festival Flyer return buses leave the West Beach transport hub from 9.30pm until midnight, calling at Ansdell, Fairhaven, St Annes and Blackpool. The festival says timings may change.

Where are the taxi and pick-up points?

Lytham Festival's taxi pick-up and drop-off point is at Lowther Pavilion, Lowther Terrace, FY8 5QQ. Private cars use a separate, marshalled pick-up and drop-off point at Lowther Gardens, West Beach, FY8 5QG, open from 3pm. Give your driver the right postcode: FY8 5QQ for a taxi, FY8 5QG for a lift in a private car.

Where can you stay near Lytham Festival?

Lytham Festival is a non-camping event, so anyone staying over needs accommodation away from the Green. Of the five hotels listed on this page, only Mode Lytham Hotel, at 1 Clifton Square in the town centre, is in Lytham itself. The other four are in St Annes: The Bedford Hotel on Clifton Drive South, Inn on the Prom and The Grand Hotel on South Promenade, and the Glendower Hotel on North Promenade.

How accessible is the Lytham Green site?

Lytham Festival holds the Attitude is Everything Silver award for accessibility, first awarded in 2022, and offers BSL interpreters at every Lytham Festival 2027 show on request through the Accessible Facilities Application Form. The site has an accessible entrance, a Raised Viewing Platform, a Ground-Level Accessible Area, accessible toilets, and an extra sensory space within the Accessible Area.

As at 10 October 2026, the festival's accessible ticketing page said the Raised Viewing Platform and the Ground-Level Accessible Area had reached capacity for the 5-Day Pass and the Robbie Williams night, and both still had space for the Fatboy Slim night. The Ground-Level Accessible Area is reached via a few steps and is mainly for standing, with limited seating. The festival cannot provide its accessible facilities for temporary impairments lasting less than 12 months, such as broken bones, healing injuries or pregnancy, and it warns that poor weather can make some areas inaccessible for wheelchair users.

Visitors who cannot attend safely or independently without support can apply for an Essential Companion. The companion ticket is free when a Nimbus Access Card or the free Lytham Festival Digital Access Pass carries the +1 symbol. Buy your own festival ticket first, then apply with its booking reference, and do not buy a separate ticket for the companion. On the Raised Viewing Platform, companions sit alongside the ticket holder.

The accessible car park is about 400 to 450 metres from the main festival entrance. The accessible entrance sits at the edge of the festival site, about 750 to 800 metres from Lytham station. Assistance dogs are welcome; other dogs are not permitted on site.
