The Mezz

For a sit-down meal before DBE, The Mezz is the obvious base: a level between the concourse and the bowl, opened in March 2024, where the restaurant menus come from Michelin-starred chefs Simon Rogan and Tom Barnes. Guests watch from padded seats with a fully hosted service, and the bar stays open once the curfew passes.

The Beautiful North and The Suite Experience

For a larger party, The Beautiful North super-suite takes up to 34 guests. The Suite Experience offers a private room with pre-show drinks and dining, a personal host and an in-house chef. A suite keeps a group in one room all evening, which works well for a team night out or a client event.

The Electric Lounge serves a glass of fizz on arrival and a charcuterie sharing board. The AO Arena is built into the Manchester Victoria station complex, so rail and Metrolink tram services stop at the door. Metrolink lines from Bury, Rochdale, East Didsbury, Altrincham and the Airport all reach Victoria directly, and the arena notes that plenty of trams keep running once events end. With an 11pm curfew on a Sunday, check the last train or tram home before setting out.

• By bus: allow about five minutes on foot from Shudehill, or around ten from Piccadilly bus station.
• By car: the on-site CitiPark car park has 958 spaces, including 40 Blue Badge bays on a first-come, first-served basis. The venue advises public transport at peak times.
• After the show: Trinity Way closes southbound for up to an hour after events.
