Deacon Blue bring Raintown, The 40th Anniversary UK and Ireland Tour, to M&S Bank Arena Liverpool on Saturday 9 October 2027. Belfast and Dublin open the UK and Ireland tour, so Liverpool is its first night in Great Britain. Liverpool was also where the 2025 arena dates of The Great Western Road Trip began, on 19 September 2025. For the concert, the arena lists four premium options, from the Skyline Experience's balcony seats for 2 to 6 people to its top tier, a Premium Super Suite for up to 24 guests.

When is the Deacon Blue Liverpool concert?

Deacon Blue play Liverpool once on the Raintown UK and Ireland tour: Saturday 9 October 2027 at M&S Bank Arena, the third of its 18 shows. Raintown, the band's debut album, came out 40 years earlier, in May 1987. The band play the whole album first, then a second set of songs from across their career. The 9 October show is one of three Saturday nights on the tour, and the only one in England. The other two are in Cardiff on 16 October and Glasgow on 30 October. For a group making a weekend of it, the arena says three hotels stand on the King's Dock site.

At M&S Bank Arena, hospitality for Deacon Blue comes from the arena's own premium range, and its listing for 9 October 2027 names four options. Two to six people fit the Skyline Experience, a team of up to 12 a Premium Suite and a party of up to 24 a Premium Super Suite, while the Premium Live Lounge takes a group of any size.

• The Skyline Experience, for 2 to 6 people: the arena's entry-level premium option, with balcony seats in an upgraded area, fast-track entry and a selection of drinks and nibbles to choose from on the night.
• Premium Live Lounge, for any size of group: live entertainment from local artists, a welcome drink, a mezze platter and fast-track entry.
• Premium Suites, for up to 12 guests: what the arena calls "your own exclusive" suite, with panoramic arena views, a cloakroom, free parking and a welcome drink for every guest.
• Premium Super Suites, for up to 24 guests: the top tier, styled on a 1920s private members' club.

The Skyline area is shared with other guests. A group that wants a space to itself should look at a Premium Suite, which the arena describes as a private space, with food and drink beyond the welcome drink ordered separately. Alcohol is served to over-18s only, and the arena supports Challenge 25, so ID may be asked for.

The arena describes its premium range as five tiers. It gets to five by listing the Live Lounge twice: once as One Night Only, and once as Private Hire, which it offers for occasions from birthdays and anniversaries to corporate events. When should you arrive for the Liverpool show, and is it seated?

M&S Bank Arena lists doors at 6.30pm for Deacon Blue on Saturday 9 October 2027 and asks everyone to arrive as close to opening as they can. It calls the show a full arena seated event. Each ticket and the pre-event email carry the opening time, and the arena says published start and finish times are approximate and can change. As of 25 September 2026, no stage time or support act had been announced.

Raintown is the first of the two sets, and the arena admits latecomers only at a suitable break in the performance, so a group that arrives late may miss part of the album.

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult, according to both the concert listing and the arena's general rule. Check with the arena before booking for a family group.

How do you get to King's Dock from Lime Street, and where do you park?

M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, the former Echo Arena, stands on King's Dock on the city's waterfront, a short taxi or bus ride from Liverpool Lime Street station. Liverpool ONE bus station is about five minutes' walk away, and the arena also lists Queen Square bus station. Groups arriving by coach have their own drop-off point next to the site. For drivers, the arena gives the postcode L3 4BX.

For drivers, the Kings Dock Car Park is on the arena site, but its spaces cannot be pre-booked, so on a Saturday night leave time to find one before doors. The arena's premium page lists free parking with the Premium Suites, but not with the Skyline Experience or the Live Lounge. Is there a step-free route to M&S Bank Arena's premium spaces?

Neither M&S Bank Arena's accessibility page nor its premium page gives step-free detail for the suites, the Live Lounge or the Skyline seats, so confirm the route with the arena before booking for a guest with mobility needs. The arena as a whole holds Attitude is Everything Gold status for disability access and is a Sunflower Friendly business, with designated drop-off points, accessible seating spaces, wide corridors and doors, lifts and accessible toilets.
