Goodwood Revival 2027

Goodwood Revival 2027 runs from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 September 2027 at Goodwood Motor Circuit near Chichester, West Sussex: three days of historic motor racing that recreate the circuit's 1948 to 1966 era. Goodwood announced the dates on Monday 21 September 2026, the day after the 2026 Revival ended, and opened a priority window for 2027 tickets the same day. By 25 September 2026 it had not yet named the 2027 theme, the races or the drivers.

How do you book Goodwood Revival 2027?

Goodwood Revival 2027 tickets go on sale in two stages set by Goodwood. The first opened on Monday 21 September 2026 for Members and Fellows of the Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) and for anyone who held a ticket to the 2026 Revival. General sale is the second stage: Goodwood said it would follow later in 2026, and by 25 September 2026 it had published no date.

Revival tickets are digital. Goodwood issues them through its Goodwood Tickets app, where they appear 14 days before the event, and its FAQs say an order can be cancelled only within 48 hours of purchase.

What has Goodwood confirmed for 2027 so far?

By 25 September 2026, Goodwood had confirmed the dates, the venue and the full name of Goodwood Revival 2027, plus a Sunday grid offer on its 2027 event page. It had not announced the theme, the anniversaries the meeting will mark, the race programme, the entry list or any guests, and its end-of-season release said details of its 2027 motorsport season would follow in the coming months.

• The full name is Goodwood Revival presented by Dunlop. Dunlop became the event's first presenting partner in 2026 and carries on in 2027, and Goodwood notes that Dunlop also sponsored the circuit in its opening year, 1948.
• Goodwood's 2027 event page says an admission ticket gives access to the grid on the Sunday, alongside the drivers and riders.
• Every race at the Revival since 2024 has run on sustainable fuel, and Goodwood has not yet published a fuel rule for 2027.

What happens on each day of the Revival?

At the 2026 Goodwood Revival, Friday was mostly practice with two races at the end of the day, Saturday was the fullest day of racing, and Sunday built to a finale around the RAC TT Celebration. Goodwood has not yet published a 2027 timetable, so this is the pattern of the 2026 meeting, held from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026.

Friday

Friday in 2026 was given over mostly to practice, including the first session for the RAC TT Celebration cars. The weekend's first two races closed the day: Part 1 of the St Mary's Trophy, then the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy, which ran on into the dusk under the cars' headlights.

Saturday

Saturday carried more racing in 2026 than either of the other days, from the Chichester Cup in the morning to the Sussex Trophy in the late afternoon. It also brought the weekend's first motorcycle race, Part 1 of the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, more practice for the Sunday races, and the Settrington Cup, a pedal-car race for children.

Sunday

The 2026 Sunday opened with Part 2 of the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy. Before the RAC TT Celebration, the last race of the weekend, the drivers paraded around the circuit on three vintage open-top buses and spectators went out onto the grid. Afterwards the grid became the setting for the Revival's first Closing Party, where the Duke of Richmond presented the weekend's awards.

Beyond the racing

An admission ticket includes Over the Road, where Goodwood runs a vintage funfair and live music stages, and the evening festivities. It does not include a grandstand seat, which Goodwood lists as a separate ticket. Goodwood says the event opens with an early morning dawn patrol, a flypast of historic aircraft. Which day of the Revival suits your group?

We recommend Friday or Saturday for a client group at the Goodwood Revival, and Sunday for enthusiasts or a celebration, based on the 2026 programme. Friday is a working day, and in 2026 its two races came at the end of the day, which left time to talk. Saturday packed in the most racing. For Sunday, Goodwood has already said that a 2027 admission ticket gets spectators onto the grid.

What happened at the 2026 Goodwood Revival?

The 2026 Goodwood Revival ran from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September 2026 under the theme La Dolce Vita, a celebration of Italian culture, style and motorsport. André Lotterer and Lukas Halusa won the RAC TT Celebration in a Jaguar E-type, one second clear despite a three-second penalty, which gave Lotterer his third RAC TT Celebration win.

Romain Dumas won Part 1 of the St Mary's Trophy and Fred Shepherd won Part 2, both in a Ford Galaxie 500. Joe Colasacco took the Glover Trophy in a Ferrari 1512. Alexander van der Lof and Yelmer Buurman won the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy in a Ferrari 250 GT SWB/C, and Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen finished fourth in it with Joe Macari.

The weekend also marked Maserati's 100 years in racing, the centenary of Sir Jack Brabham's birth, 50 years since Barry Sheene's first 500cc world title and the Vespa's 80th, which Goodwood says brought more than 300 pre-1967 scooters to the Track Opening Parade. Le Mans-winning Ford GT MkIIs returned to Goodwood for the 60th anniversary of Ford's 1966 Le Mans win.
