Italian Grand Prix 2027 dates, sprint and timetable

The 2027 Italian Grand Prix runs from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th September 2027, and it is a sprint weekend. Monza is one of ten sprint rounds on the 2027 calendar, and the circuit has confirmed the sprint returns for 2027, 2028 and 2029.

Formula 1 has set the order of the weekend but not the clock times yet. Friday 3rd September has first practice and sprint qualifying. Saturday 4th September has the sprint race and qualifying for the Grand Prix. Sunday 5th September is the Italian Grand Prix itself. For a guide to timing, the 2026 race started at 15:00 local time, which is 14:00 in the UK, as Italy is one hour ahead. Our tickets cover Saturday and Sunday, so you see the sprint, qualifying and the Grand Prix. New to the format? Our guide to F1 practice sessions explains how each session feeds into the next.

Why the Monza Grand Prix 2027 is the one to book

Kimi Antonelli sealed the 2026 world title in Mexico City on 1st November, at 20 the youngest champion Formula 1 has ever crowned. Two months earlier he won at Monza from the back of the grid, the first Italian to win the Italian Grand Prix since Ludovico Scarfiotti in 1966. September 2027 is his first Monza as world champion, and the tifosi will be out in force.

The Italian Grand Prix has been part of every Formula 1 season since the championship began in 1950, and Monza is the fastest circuit on the calendar, which is why it is known as the Temple of Speed.

Italian Grand Prix 2027 packages: your weekend day by day

Friday 3rd September. Arrive in Milan in the afternoon. Our team on the ground meets you at the airport and takes you by executive Mercedes transfer to your hotel in Lake Como. In the evening we host a welcome drinks evening on the hotel rooftop terrace, with the lake below and the whole group talking Formula 1.

Saturday 4th September. Breakfast by the lake, then an executive transfer to Monza and your seats in Grandstand 2 for the sprint race and qualifying.

Sunday 5th September. Race day. From Grandstand 2 you look straight at the grid, the start and the chequered flag, then stay for the famous Monza track invasion after the race.

Monday 6th September. Breakfast, check out and an executive transfer back to Milan airport.

Where to stay for the Monza Grand Prix: Lake Como

You stay three nights at 4* Hotel Griso or similar, on the Lecco branch of Lake Como, in a double room with continental breakfast each morning. Lake views with the mountains behind them beat a motorway hotel by the circuit, and the journey from Lake Como to Monza is taken care of, with executive transfers to the circuit and back on both race days. We take over the hotel for the weekend, so everyone at breakfast is there for the same reason you are.

Monza grandstands: why Grandstand 2

Of all the Monza grandstands, Grandstand 2 (Traguardo) sits right on the start and finish straight. It is where the cars form up on the grid, where the race starts and where it finishes, so the moments that decide the weekend happen in front of you on both days.

It also puts you beside the Monza track invasion. When the Grand Prix ends, fans pour onto the main straight to gather beneath the podium, which hangs out over the circuit. It is one of the great sights in sport, and you are right next to it.
