About

Olly Murs plays the July Course at Newmarket Racecourses on Friday 25 June 2027, billed Olly Murs Live After Racing and the second act announced for Newmarket Nights 2027, after Simply Red on Saturday 21 August. It is a return: he played the July Course in 2021 and headlined Newmarket Nights again on Friday 18 August 2023. Racing comes first, and the ticket covers the race card and the concert.

How does Olly Murs Live After Racing work at Newmarket?

For Friday 25 June 2027 Newmarket lists gates at 3.45pm, the first race at 5.43pm, the last at 8.38pm and the concert at about 9pm to 10.30pm, all subject to change. Newmarket Nights pair a race meeting with a headline concert. Six or seven races are run on the July Course, then the gates between enclosures open in stages and most people move to the stage. Newmarket says its headline artists usually come on about 15 minutes after the last race and play for 75 to 90 minutes, with no warm-up act.

Where is the stage on the July Course?

The stage sits in the Premier Enclosure between Stands 2 and 3, facing the track. Premier Enclosure ticket holders have first access to the stage area; after racing the other enclosures open and their guests can move closer. The area in front of the stage is standing only and the busiest part of the course, with large screens elsewhere for a calmer view.

Which enclosure should you choose for Olly Murs at Newmarket?

The racecourse lists four areas for the night:

  • Premier Enclosure: the best racing view, with the finishing post, the Parade Ring and the stage itself
  • Grandstand and Paddock: a fair view of the racing and food stands, with Premier facilities opening after the last race
  • Garden Enclosure: the picnic area, between the one and two furlong poles, with racing mostly on a big screen; usually first to sell out
  • Champions Lawn: an upgrade on the edge of the Premier Enclosure with table service, private toilets and Tote betting, but a limited view of the stage

For the closest raised view, Newmarket sells a Prime Viewing Platform about 40 metres directly opposite the stage, opening after the last race.

What hospitality does Newmarket run on music nights?

Newmarket's music-night hospitality centres on the Trackside Pavilions beside the July Course, where guests can watch the concert from the pavilion's own decking area, and the Summer House Restaurant in the Premier Enclosure. The racecourse has not yet listed which packages run on 25 June 2027.

Can children go to Olly Murs at Newmarket?

Newmarket recommends its music nights are not suitable for under-18s. If they come, each needs a full-price ticket and there must be one adult aged 21 or over for every three under-18s. Children aged 15 and under stay with an adult; 16 and 17 year olds can move around on their own.

How do you get to and from the July Course?

The July Course postcode is CB8 0XE, reached from the A11 and A14. Parking is free, and a free bus runs from Newmarket town centre and Newmarket station. On Newmarket Nights the racecourse asks drivers to allow up to two hours to leave the car parks, and a taxi rank sits outside Premier Entrance 1.
