Newmarket Nights 2027 has two headliners so far: Olly Murs on Friday 25 June and Simply Red on Saturday 21 August, both on the July Course at Newmarket Racecourses. Each night is a race meeting first and a concert second, on one ticket, and the racecourse says the course welcomes up to 22,000 people when sold out.

Who is playing Newmarket Nights 2027?

Two acts are confirmed for Newmarket Nights 2027 as of 2 October 2026. Simply Red were announced first, then Olly Murs on 28 September 2026. The racecourse usually holds between seven and nine racing and music evenings on the July Course each summer, so the 2027 line-up has room to grow.

How does a Newmarket Nights evening work?

A Newmarket Nights evening is six or seven races on the July Course followed by a headline concert, and the ticket covers both; there is no concert-only ticket. Once the last race is run, the gates between the enclosures open in stages. The racecourse says its headliners usually come on about 15 minutes after the last race and play for 75 to 90 minutes, with no warm-up act.

What time does the music start and finish?

Newmarket publishes approximate times per night. Olly Murs on 25 June 2027: first race 5.43pm, last race 8.38pm, concert about 9pm to 10.30pm. Simply Red on 21 August 2027: first race 1.33pm, last race 5.35pm, concert about 6pm to 8.45pm. All timings are subject to change.

Where is the stage at Newmarket Nights?

The stage is in the Premier Enclosure, between Stands 2 and 3, facing the track. Premier Enclosure guests reach the stage area first; after racing, guests from the other enclosures can move closer. The space in front of the stage is standing only, and the racecourse says it gets the busiest and liveliest, with large screens around the course for a quieter view.

Which enclosure suits you?

  • Premier Enclosure: the finishing post, the Parade Ring and the stage, plus restaurants
  • Grandstand and Paddock: a fair view of the racing with food stands; Premier facilities open to you after the last race
  • Garden Enclosure: the only place for picnics and garden chairs, with a big screen for the racing and the concert; it is usually the first to sell out
  • Champions Lawn: an upgrade on the edge of the Premier Enclosure with table service and private toilets, but a limited view of the stage

For a raised view, the racecourse sells a Prime Viewing Platform about 40 metres directly opposite the stage, which opens after the last race.

What hospitality is there at Newmarket Nights?

Newmarket's own music-night hospitality centres on the Trackside Pavilions beside the July Course, where guests can watch the concert from the pavilion's own decking area, and the Summer House Restaurant in the Premier Enclosure. Groups planning a night around the Olly Murs date can see how the rest of his summer fits on the Olly Murs Tour 2027 page.

Can under-18s go to Newmarket Nights?

Newmarket recommends that its music nights are not suitable for under-18s. If they come, each needs a full-price ticket, with one adult aged 21 or over for every three under-18s. Children aged 15 and under must stay with an adult; 16 and 17 year olds can move around alone. The racecourse also advises against taking children into the crowd in front of the stage.

How do you get home from Newmarket Nights?

The July Course is at CB8 0XE, off the A11 and A14, and parking is free. A free bus runs from Newmarket town centre and the station. After a sell-out concert the racecourse asks drivers to allow up to two hours to leave the car parks, and a taxi rank sits outside Premier Entrance 1. Full directions are on the Newmarket Racecourse page.

Is Newmarket Nights the same as the July Festival?

No. Newmarket Nights are summer race meetings with a concert afterwards. The Newmarket July Festival is a separate race meeting on the same July Course, and a different event from the Olly Murs and Simply Red nights.
