About

Ozzfest comes back to the UK on Saturday 10th July 2027 at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes, for one day only. To get tickets, enquire with Prestige Corporate Events using the form on this page. The line-up, curated by Sharon Osbourne, has not been announced yet.

This is the UK leg of a three-show return that also takes in California and Mexico City in September. Our Ozzfest 2027 guide covers all three dates and how the plans changed.

What is Ozzfest?

Ozzfest began in 1996 as Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's own festival, after Lollapalooza shunned Ozzy during his comeback from retirement. It started as a two-day festival, went on the road in 1997 and spent the next decade turning heavy bands into big ones. Metal and nu-metal acts used it as a proving ground, and Ozzy performed either solo or with Black Sabbath.

The last edition was on New Year's Eve 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, with Ozzy at the top of the bill. The 2027 shows are the first since then, and the first without him. Ozzy died on 22nd July 2025, weeks after the Back to the Beginning farewell at Villa Park.

That gives this day a different weight from an ordinary festival date. Sharon Osbourne's own line on it was short: "Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy's legacy." No tribute format has been announced, but it's hard to imagine a crowd at the Bowl treating this as just another gig.

The other two Ozzfest 2027 shows

Milton Keynes comes first. After it, the festival moves to Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, on Saturday 11th September 2027, and then to Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on Saturday 18th September 2027, the first Ozzfest in Mexico. Each one is a single day with its own bill, so don't assume that the acts at the Bowl will match the American or Mexican shows. Sharon Osbourne has said Ozzfest could travel again from 2028 if demand is there, which makes the UK crowd on 10th July the first test of that idea.

Why The National Bowl?

Because Ozzfest has been here before. The Milton Keynes Bowl staged the festival's first date outside America on 20th June 1998, when Black Sabbath headlined. It returned on 26th May 2001 with Black Sabbath, Tool and Slipknot, a day NME remembered for water cannons, moshpit chaos and ten minutes of fireworks.

No reason has been published for choosing it over Villa Park, which was named in August 2026. Still, few UK sites suit a heavy bill better. The Bowl sits in south central Milton Keynes, just north of Bletchley, in a former clay pit that was raised and reshaped into an outdoor arena. It holds a maximum of 65,000 people on open grass, and its concert history runs through Queen in 1982, Metallica in 1993 and Green Day in 2005, through to Muse in 2023.

It has staged more than rock, too. Michael Jackson played three successive nights there to about 60,000 fans a night, Linkin Park brought Projekt Revolution in 2008, and The Prodigy recorded the World's on Fire release there in 2010. Metallica's 1993 show closed the Wherever I May Roam tour and went out on BBC Radio 1. A heavy bill won't be new to the neighbours.

What we know about the line-up

No acts are confirmed at this stage. Three things have been said on the record, and they tell you what kind of day to expect.

  • Sharon Osbourne is curating the bill, and reports say she wants to mix up the genres.
  • She has name-checked Rob Halford as someone she'd like involved, according to The MetalList.
  • Jack Osbourne told SiriusXM's Page Six Radio that new artists will be "a big part of the lineup".

Organisers also plan to keep a spot for at least one unsigned act, in line with the festival's history of backing bands on the way up. In 2001 that history stood on this exact field: NME reported that Slipknot pulled the biggest crowd of the day, on a bill that also carried Soulfly, Disturbed, Papa Roach and Mudvayne. For anyone who wants more of them next summer, Slipknot's London date falls on 3rd July 2027, a week before Ozzfest, and you can follow the rest on our Slipknot UK Tour 2027 hub.

Getting to The National Bowl

Leave the car at home if you can. Parking on site is very limited, and fans are encouraged to use public transport.

Milton Keynes Central station is about 2km from the Bowl, along National Cycle Route 51. Shuttle buses from the station have run for previous concerts, though nothing has been published for Ozzfest yet, so treat that as a likely option rather than a promise. If you're travelling from London or the Midlands, Milton Keynes makes an easy day out by train, and for a large group a little planning on trains and return times saves a lot of standing about after the final encore.

Stage times haven't been published. Festival days at the Bowl usually mean a long afternoon on your feet, so plan for sun, rain and grass. July in Milton Keynes can offer all three in one day.

Planning a group for Ozzfest Milton Keynes

Ozzfest is a strong choice for a group outing, because almost everybody over a certain age has a Sabbath story. It suits a band of friends marking a milestone, a team who want a summer day out with some character, or a host looking for something less predictable than a stadium pop show.

Our honest advice is to settle your numbers first and let the line-up follow. The occasion is the reason to go here, and it won't change whoever ends up on the poster. If your group is split on heavy music, wait for the first names and then decide. If it's full of lifelong fans, there's little to gain from holding back.

One word of caution for hosts. A heavy festival on grass is a very different day from a seated concert, and it won't suit every guest list. Think about who is coming before you think about who is playing. A group of committed fans will happily spend a day on their feet in a field; a client who was expecting a quiet afternoon may not.

And if you want to build a wider summer around it, BST Hyde Park, Lytham Festival and the Glastonbury Festival calendar all sit nearby in the diary. Heavy fans may also like our guide to Slipknot's London show.
