View EventOzzfest returns in 2027 with three one-day shows: The National Bowl in Milton Keynes on Saturday 10th July, Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California, on Saturday 11th September, and Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on Saturday 18th September. To get tickets, enquire with Prestige Corporate Events using the form on our Ozzfest Milton Keynes 2027 page.
As of 6th November 2026, no line-up has been announced. Sharon Osbourne is curating the bills, and the full line-ups are promised in the coming months.
One fact sits over all of it. These are the first Ozzfests without Ozzy Osbourne, who died on 22nd July 2025, 17 days after his Back to the Beginning farewell at Villa Park. "Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival," Sharon Osbourne said in the announcement. "And Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy's legacy."

Ozzfest 2027 dates and venues
| Date | Venue | City |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 10th July 2027 | The National Bowl | Milton Keynes, UK |
| Saturday 11th September 2027 | Glen Helen Amphitheater | San Bernardino, California |
| Saturday 18th September 2027 | Estadio GNP Seguros | Mexico City, Mexico |
It's the first Ozzfest of any kind since New Year's Eve 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. It's also the first ever in Mexico.
What Ozzfest is, and why this return is different
Ozzfest exists because of a snub. Lollapalooza shunned Ozzy in the 1990s, when he was attempting a comeback from retirement, so Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne built a heavy festival of their own. It began as a two-day event in 1996, became a touring festival in 1997 and spent the following decade launching metal and nu-metal bands in front of huge crowds. By 2013 it had become a single-destination event, and after the 2018 show it stopped.
For 22 years the festival had a safety net: Ozzy himself, solo or with Black Sabbath. That has gone. Whoever closes these shows is stepping into a festival named after someone who can't appear, and I think that makes 2027 a more interesting booking than any of the later editions. It has to prove the idea can stand up on its own.
Why Ozzfest is going to Milton Keynes, not Birmingham
Birmingham looked settled. On 17th August 2026 the festival's own social channels named Villa Park, the home of Sabbath's farewell, and Sharon Osbourne told Metal Hammer that two nights were "up for the fans to tell me". Two days later Jack Osbourne told SiriusXM's Page Six Radio that "it's just gonna be one day". When the dates arrived on 5th November, Villa Park had gone altogether, and nobody has published a reason.
Birmingham fans have a right to feel short-changed. Sabbath's city was the emotional choice.
But my read is that the Bowl is the better historical fit, and the reports I read skip the reason why. Ozzfest has been here twice. Its first date outside America was at the Milton Keynes Bowl on 20th June 1998, with Black Sabbath headlining a bill that differed from the American tour. It came back on 26th May 2001, when NME reported Black Sabbath, Tool, Slipknot, Soulfly, Disturbed, Papa Roach and Mudvayne on one bill. Slipknot drew the biggest crowd of the day. Corey Taylor and Slayer's Tom Araya both turned up in Soulfly's set.

The ground has form beyond Ozzfest too. Queen played there in 1982, Metallica closed a tour there in 1993, Green Day recorded Bullet in a Bible there in 2005, and Muse played it in June 2023. It's a former clay pit, now open grass with no fixed seats, and it holds a maximum of 65,000. So this isn't a consolation prize. It's a return to the field where Ozzfest first became more than an American idea.
Who is playing Ozzfest 2027?
Nobody yet, officially. Any name you see attached to Ozzfest 2027 today is a guess.
What we do have are clues about the shape of the bill. Sharon Osbourne told Metal Hammer in August: "Of course we're speaking to people." The MetalList reports that she wants to mix up the genres and has name-checked Rob Halford as someone she'd like involved. Jack Osbourne said new artists will be "a big part of the lineup", and organisers plan to hold a spot for at least one unsigned act. He also said in August that a main headliner would follow within a couple of weeks. It didn't. My guess, and it is only a guess, is that nobody finds it easy to take the slot Ozzy always held.
The new-artist promise is the part I'd watch. Ozzfest built its name as a proving ground, and that 2001 Bowl crowd is the proof: Slipknot's current line-up now headlines stadiums. Nobody has linked them with this show, and I wouldn't read anything into the calendar, but Slipknot play London on 3rd July 2027, exactly a week before Ozzfest. If you follow the Slipknot UK tour, that's two big heavy Saturdays in a row.
The two September shows
Glen Helen is the sentimental pick. Ozzfest played the site in its first year, 1996, and returned for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest in 2017.

Mexico City is the new ground. The two shows fall seven days apart, so a UK group could plausibly make a trip of the pair, though for most British fans Milton Keynes is the obvious call. Sharon Osbourne has also said that Ozzfest could travel again from 2028 if the demand is there, so these three dates are in effect a test.

How to get Ozzfest 2027 tickets
Enquire with Prestige Corporate Events. Use the form on our Ozzfest Milton Keynes event page and include three things:
- Which show you want: Milton Keynes, San Bernardino or Mexico City.
- How many people are going.
- Whether it's a personal trip or you're hosting guests.
My advice is not to wait for the line-up. That's the obvious moment to enquire, which is exactly why everyone else will do it then. The cost is that you commit your interest before you know who's on, but with a festival this tied to one family's legacy, the occasion is the reason to go. The headliner is the bonus.
Plan the journey early as well. On-site parking at the Bowl is very limited and fans are encouraged to use public transport, with Milton Keynes Central about a 2km walk away. For a group, that matters more than any single name on the poster.
It's a busy summer, too. Lytham Festival has acts on 2nd and 3rd July, Glastonbury Festival 2027 starts on 23rd June, and BST Hyde Park usually fills the same stretch of the calendar. A group with one big day out in its budget has a real choice to make, and Ozzfest is the only one of those built around a single family's story.
In 2001, NME reported Ozzy racing around the Bowl's stage, soaking the crowd with water cannons, before ten minutes of fireworks closed the night. Somebody has to walk onto that same field on 10th July 2027. We still don't know who.
