Why U2 in London is a night to remember

U2 have promised something special for 2027. Announcing the tour, the band called it "a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life". Larry Mullen Jr is back on drums, so all four original members share the stage again, and U2 are known for shows on a huge scale: on their last stadium tour in 2017 they played in front of a screen 61 metres wide.

This is U2's first world tour in eight years, and London gets two nights. For a lot of fans, this could be the only chance for a long while to see U2 live in London.

U2's 2027 UK and European tour dates

London sits in the middle of a 12-show European leg that runs from April to July 2027:

• Stockholm, Strawberry Arena: 26 and 28 April
• Paris, Stade de France: 5 and 8 May
• Lisbon, Estadio da Luz: 27 May
• Amsterdam, Johan Cruijff ArenA: 5 and 6 June
• London, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: 18 and 19 June
• Berlin, Olympiastadion: 30 June
• Milan, Stadio San Siro: 5 and 6 July

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a concert night

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the largest club ground in London, with a capacity of 62,850, and its pitch slides away for concerts. White Hart Lane station is about a five-minute walk, and there is no public parking nearby, so the train is the way to arrive.
