The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift starts its sixth edition in Britain, racing from Friday 30 July to Sunday 1 August 2027. The opening stage runs 87.5km from The Headrow in central Leeds to a finish on Deansgate in Manchester, the second covers 154.4km from Manchester across the Peak District to Sheffield, and the third is a team time trial of about 18km on a central London circuit finishing on The Mall. ASO confirms that London stage as the first team time trial in the history of the race, and this is the first time the Tour de France Femmes has raced on British roads.
The three stages
Friday 30 July 2027: Leeds to Manchester, 87.5km
The shortest road stage of the six British stages, starting on The Headrow in central Leeds. Short stages in this race tend to be quick rather than gentle, since there is less distance in which anything can settle down, and the Deansgate finish puts the conclusion in the centre of Manchester.
Saturday 31 July 2027: Manchester to Sheffield, 154.4km
The decisive day. The host committee's route detail puts close to 3,000 metres of climbing into 154.4km across the Peak District, with Cyclist identifying Snake Pass and Winnats Pass on the route, before a finish on Attercliffe Common. Manchester becomes the only host location on either route with two consecutive race days, having hosted the previous evening's finish.
Sunday 1 August 2027: central London team time trial, about 18km
Teams of seven riding against the clock on a city-centre circuit finishing on The Mall, and the first team time trial the Tour de France Femmes has held. British Cycling announced it on 22 April 2026 and said the detailed circuit would follow later in the year; it remained unpublished on 30 July 2026.
Why the London stage is unlike the others
A team time trial is ridden by squads setting off at intervals rather than by the whole field at once. That changes the day for anyone watching: instead of one pass lasting under a minute, the racing spreads across an afternoon and a fixed point on the circuit sees every team come through. It is also a format the race has never used before.
What a women's Grand Départ weekend involves
Three consecutive race days, over a much tighter geography than the men's route. Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield sit close together and the first two stages run back to back, so following two of the three from a single base is realistic. London on the Sunday is a separate proposition.
Roadside viewing is free and needs no ticket, as it is on any public-road stage. Manchester is the practical centre of the weekend, the only town on either route that hosts a finish one evening and a start the next morning, which is why it is the base Prestige Corporate Events builds this weekend around.
What has not been confirmed
The detailed London team time trial circuit is still to come, and no host authority on this route has published road closures, fan zone locations or stage timings. None of it was public at the last check, 30 July 2026.
