Hans Florian Zimmer, a German musician born in Frankfurt am Main in 1957, is a highly acclaimed composer renowned for his extensive work in film scores. His distinctive sound has graced over 150 films since the 1980s, establishing him as a prominent figure in contemporary cinema.

Zimmer has won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score, for The Lion King and Dune: Part One, from twelve nominations.
